Problems with latest Mac OSX EPD Installation

lcota
I installed it with the EPD download and when executing python, the following version is executed:

Enthought Python Distribution -- http://www.enthought.com
Version: 6.1-1 (32-bit)

It appears, however, that I cannot find any of the enthought libraries.

import enthought.chaco does not work, neither does import enthought.enable

What is going on?

Are there REALLY no error messages that you obviously would have copied
here when asking for help?
That itself would of course be a useful information.
I am using the most recent 32-bit acamedic license EPD here without any
problems on 10.6.3.

I'm wondering if this is only a problem with ETS imports.
Can you import numpy?  And, if so what is numy.__file__?
Maybe you have the PYTHONPATH environment variable
set.

Your path is missing a ....Versions/6.1/bin compared to mine, don't
know if that's important.

I would try the reinstall of EPD, it cannot harm (if it's the exact same file).
Here is where my chaco is, you could have a look at your place to
compare if you have the chaco folder and the required __init__.py for
finding it:

In [2]: enthought.chaco.__path__

Out[2]:
['/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/6.1/lib/python2.6/site-packages/enthought/chaco']

In

[3]: enthought.chaco.__file__

Out[3]:
'/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/6.1/lib/python2.6/site-packages/enthought/chaco/__init__.py'

Re: Problems with latest Mac OSX EPD Installation

lcota
Very odd - If I go to that directory, the enthought libs are all there under enthought/

When I launch python and check for enthought's path, I get the following:

enthought.__path__
['/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/6.1/lib/python2.6/site-packages/GraphCanvas-0.1.0.dev_r0-py2.6.egg/enthought']

 enthought.__file__
'/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/6.1/lib/python2.6/site-packages/GraphCanvas-0.1.0.dev_r0-py2.6.egg/enthought/__init__.pyc'

What's going on here? I tried a reinstall I still have these problems however
