Dear Dimka,

This problem has already been discussed in the thread

I did a fresh installation of the whole ETS but it didn't solve the problem. The only solution that I found so far is to reinstall the old versioned of the library that, unfortunately, mess up the dependencies of other packages. It means that apt will not "digest" it and you need to uninstall/reinstall the old lib every time you want to update the system. I hope that someone from enthought has a better workaround.

Cheers,
Eraldo

Jonathan March
This is in the queue to be fixed but we do not yet have a workaround.
Sorry!

0. mkdir ets
1. python ets.py clone
2. get freetype library from
http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/freetype/
I get last library
http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/freetype/freetype-2.4.10.tar.gz
3. delete ets/enable/kiva/agg/freetype2
4. Extract the contents of a compressed tar file freetype-2.4.10.tar.gz in
ets/enable/kiva/agg/freetype2
5. ets build ... ets install ...
